The Case of the Curious Bride opened in April 2013 and aims to provide stylish and quirky dresses with a vintage edge. Owner Melanie dreamed of creating a quirky boutique selling reasonably priced wedding dresses with real style. Brides who bought her bespoke head wear at Ivory Tuesday were also looking for unique and affordable vintage-inspired dresses, so The Case of the Curious Bride was born!

This bridal shoot from Cheshire’s Arley Hall features stunning wedding dresses and accessories from The Case of the Curious Bride. Dresses are by Erica Stacey and The Case of the Curious Bride. Accessories are by the wonderful Ivory Tuesday.

The two dresses used were Manhattan which is from Orange Blossom and Pearls by The Case of the Curious Bride (left), and Rebecca from Erica Stacey (right).
Manhattan is a dress for the fashion-savvy bride. Featuring a 1920′s dropped waist and a low back with mocha lace and a chiffon skirt this dresses oozes Gatsby and Downton appeal.
Rebecca is close fitting layers of silk and lace with godets helping form the sweeping train and also features a delicate overlayer top which is made of almost-sheer fabric, trimmed with beautiful pearl beads which sway with movement.

The model above wears the deliciously art deco Gershwin hair accessory:
Gershwin is a 1920′s-inspired forehead band, generously designed with fabric and crocheted roses, sitting on a floral applique base, studded with a wealth of Swarovski Crystals and Freshwater Pearls.
Ivory Tuesday was founded in 2011 and designs Original, Vintage and alternative Bridal Head Wear and Jewellery. Bespoke orders are a specialty. Hand made with loving care in the North West of England.
